Food!

So we fired up the Kamado oven a few nights ago, made some awesome Siew Yuk (Roast Pork...with crackling skin of course), and threw in a pair of chooks and a ham to make full use of the charcoal.
Unfortunately I didn't have time to snap the pork (too busy eating it!), but it was delicious, with a smokey flavour that you can only get out of a charcoal bbq.

And since this is a photo blog, not a food blog, ill add in that flash was used. My SB-600 bounced off a piece of brown cardboard (somewhat for the colour, mostly because it was the closest thing to hand) held above the dish.

Sliced the ham cold for some toasted sandwiches..Mmmmm

New Lens!

So, I picked up a 2nd hand Nikon 80-200mm/2.8 AF-D the other day. God damn I love this lens. Although its a bit heavy, and I miss the VR of the (>twice the price) 70-200mm/2.8, the beautiful bokeh makes up for it.

Here are a few photos snapped of Zach, my dog

Unfortunately the captions (which I am using to show EXIF data) do not get copied across from PicasaWeb. Thats rather annoying, and a feature I would like to be implemented
